Photography for the Love Birds

Finding the right photographer is a big part of the wedding planning process - we’re one of the people you spend most of your day with - so not only is it important you like my style, but also that you truly trust me to best capture your wedding. And that we get along! Information about my approach to photography, my packages, and some FAQs are all here on this page to help you determine if I’ll be a good fit for your wedding vision.

So, if you’re looking for a personalized photography experience, rich and cinematic colors, and you believe there are no rules when it comes to weddings - you’re in the right place.

My Approach to Weddings

I learned photography while in college getting my film degree, so many of my early experiences with a camera were on a set, where my job was to blend into the background and capture candid moments. This has carried over into my approach to weddings, where I prefer to take a backseat and document the day as it unfolds, rather than directing every moment of it and turning the entire day into a photoshoot. The unposed, imperfect, intimate photos will be the ones you cherish far longer than if I were to tell you where to sit or stand for every shot.

My style is a little moody, a little romantic, with true to life colors inspired by analog film. When I am posing my couples, I love to create editorial but intimate compositions that showcase the love they share as well as the details they have incorporated into their wedding. I strongly believe wedding traditions and rules are meant to be broken, and that there’s no one right way to get married.

My Packages

All of my packages are based on hours, with my minimum price being $3200 for an 8 hour day. All packages include an engagement session pro bono, custom timeline planning, a second photographer and flexible payment plans. Additional sessions (for example: the rehearsal dinner or a bridal session) can be added at a discounted rate of $400 per additional session.

All photos will be delivered through an online gallery that will allow high resolution downloads for printing, and allow exclusive access to archival quality photo albums. All photos will be delivered in color and in black and white.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can we book less than 8 hours? Yes, I am happy to create a custom package if I have the flexibility! This will depend on things like the date, if I need to travel, how big the wedding is, and how far in advance you book.

  2. Can we book more than 10 hours? Also yes, if you’re interested in adding additional hours or sessions, we can also create something custom.

  3. Do we have to have an engagement session? These sessions are optional, but they are the BEST way for us to get to know each other and get you more comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding. I always encourage my couples to have one, even if it’s just 30 minutes.

  4. How do we pay? All payments can be made through this website, so you can use a card or a PayPal account.

  5. How many photos will we receive? This depends on a few things, like how many hours you have booked. Typically an 8 hour day will have a return of 600-800 photos, but if you have a super wild dance floor, an aerial performance, or a lot of flowers, you may end up with more.

  6. How long does it take to receive the photos? Engagement session photos take 2-5 weeks to be delivered, and weddings take up to 15 weeks. This may vary depending on time of year, if you get married during January, you’ll have a slightly faster turnaround than if you get married in peak season in October when I will have a longer editing queue to get through.

  7. Do you travel? Absolutely! I love getting to travel for weddings. I have a flat $1000 travel fee for anywhere over a 2 hour drive from Memphis, as I do not travel on the day of the wedding, and you will be reserving the entire weekend. (Exceptions: Chicago, Nashville, and Los Angeles have a $500 fee.)
